- She does not like garbage day, because she’s scared of the bins. She thinks they are daleks, about to come alive at any moment and chase her.

Means to wander about aimlessly. Probably from an even older, obsolete word, extravage, meaning to digress or ramble. I am all about stravaig, both when traveling & in conversations.
